We got through a traditional family Christmas last year and I was negligent in my planning and didn’t get a volunteer for this year…. So I will take on the light duties and get everyone in the Christmas Spirit! Christmas Eve will be the time to pass the torch on to the next volunteer.
The Plan – Christmas Eve will take place at Lanark Place (thanks Nan for making the reservation) in the Chapel as the kitchen room was already booked. Festivities will start for 5pm with dinner at 6pm. We will ask that everyone prepare a dish of their choice (starter, salad veggies – what ever your specialty) and I will bring the ham. If you can let me know what you will bring I will post the menu on the Whaley Web (http://whaleysweb.blogspot.com/) so that you can all get some ideas.
Also, if you know that your family will have another commitment and won’t be able to attend, if you can please let me know just to ensure that we have enough plates and cutlery!
We are going to have a name draw for presents this year for those that would like to participate. If you would like to be in the draw please send me your names by Monday December 7th and I will let you all know who you have by Wednesday Dec 9th, we can put a limit to the gift of $20.00. This should give us all some shopping and wrapping time!
I did not have a contact for Ben Whaley so Terry, Rick or Amanda could you please pass this along.
As always, if you have any questions let me know otherwise I look forward to seeing you on Christmas Eve!
